Author Guidelines

The Journal of General Psychology and Educational Sciences Studies welcomes original scholarly contributions that advance knowledge in the fields of psychology and educational sciences. Authors are required to carefully read and comply with the following guidelines prior to submitting their manuscripts. Submissions that do not conform to these requirements may be returned for technical revision before entering the peer-review process.

1. Language and General Requirements

• The full text of the manuscript must be written in Persian.

• The manuscript must include:

  • A Persian abstract

  • An English abstract

• Both abstracts must accurately reflect the content of the article and be consistent with each other in terms of structure and meaning.

• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.

2. Article Types Accepted

The journal accepts the following types of scholarly contributions:

• Original research articles

• Review articles (systematic or narrative)

• Theoretical and conceptual papers

• Methodological studies

• Applied and practice-oriented research

All submissions must demonstrate clear relevance to psychology and/or educational sciences.

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

1. Title (Persian)

2. Abstract (Persian)

3. Keywords (Persian)

4. Abstract (English)

5. Keywords (English)

6. Main Text (Persian)

7. References

Depending on the nature of the study, the main text may include sections such as:

• Introduction

• Methods and Materials

• Results

• Discussion

• Conclusion

4. Abstract and Keywords

Persian Abstract

• Length: approximately 200–300 words

• Content: purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions

• Written in clear, formal academic Persian

English Abstract

• Length: approximately 200–300 words

• Must be a faithful and accurate translation of the Persian abstract

• Written in formal academic English

Keywords

• Provide 3 to 6 keywords for each abstract

• Keywords should reflect the core concepts of the study

5. Formatting and Font Requirements

Persian Text

• Font: B Nazanin

• Font size:

  • Main text: 12 pt

  • Titles and headings: 13–14 pt (bold)

• Line spacing: 1.5

• Text alignment: Justified

English Text (Abstract, Keywords, References in English)

• Font: Times New Roman

• Font size:

  • Main text: 12 pt

  • Headings: 12 pt (bold)

• Line spacing: 1.5

Authors must ensure consistent font usage throughout the manuscript.

6. Citation and Reference Style

All in-text citations and references must strictly follow the APA style (latest edition).

In-Text Citations

• Single author: (Author, Year)

• Two authors: (Author & Author, Year)

• Three or more authors: (Author et al., Year)

Reference List

• The reference list must be placed at the end of the manuscript

• All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa

• References must be formatted according to APA standards

• Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references

7. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

• Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text

• Titles and captions should be clear and concise

• Tables and figures must be placed close to their first mention in the text or at the end of the manuscript

• Any reproduced material must have appropriate permission and citation

8. Ethical Considerations

Authors must adhere to the journal’s Publication Ethics policy. In particular:

• Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards and include a statement of ethical approval where applicable

• Informed consent must be obtained and reported

• Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed

• Plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited

All submissions are screened for plagiarism using iThenticate.

9. Submission and Review Process

• Manuscripts are submitted electronically through the journal’s submission system

• All submissions undergo initial editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review

• Each manuscript is reviewed by two or three independent expert reviewers

• Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments

10. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

• The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of the manuscript

• No fees are charged at the submission stage

• Detailed information about APCs is available on the journal website

11. Copyright and Licensing

• Authors retain full copyright of their work

• Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0) license

• Authors may self-archive the final published version in institutional repositories and personal websites, provided proper citation is given

12. Final Checklist for Authors

Before submission, authors should ensure that:

• The manuscript is written in Persian

• Both Persian and English abstracts are included

• Fonts and formatting follow journal requirements

• APA citation style is applied consistently

• Ethical approvals and disclosures are clearly stated

Compliance with these guidelines ensures a smooth review and publication process.
Manuscripts that do not adhere to these requirements may be returned to authors for revision prior to peer review.
