Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to predict teachers' professional identity based on Islamic leadership styles of school principals in Serishabad city. The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey and correlational in terms of nature. The statistical population of the study included all teachers employed in various educational levels in the Serishabad region, totaling 360 people. Using Cochran's formula and simple random sampling method, 150 people were selected as the sample size. Data collection instruments included two standard questionnaires: "Teachers' Professional Identity" and "Assessment of Perception of Principals' Islamic Leadership Styles", the validity and reliability of which were confirmed. For data analysis, SPSS software was used along with descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test, and linear regression). The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the Islamic leadership style of principals and teachers' professional identity. Furthermore, the regression analysis results indicated that Islamic leadership style can predict 42% of the variance of teachers' professional identity. Based on the results, it can be concluded that paying attention to the components of Islamic leadership in schools can play an effective role in strengthening teachers' professional identity.
